Learn secrets of getting grants for your project

BridgetCassWebChristian groups and organisations from across Norfolk are being invited by YMCA Norfolk to learn how to successfully access grant funding from the chief officer of one of the biggest, The Jerusalem Trust.

Bridget Cass (pictured right)  will be leading two innovative workshops at Carrow Road football stadium in Norwich on September 20, with lots of ideas on how to effectively raise funds and resources for your Christian mission.

The Jerusalem Trust receives hundreds of grant applications every month. Bridget has to ensure that the trustees have the appropriate information to enable them to make an informed and positive decision. She is therefore ideally placed to give good advice and ideas on successfully applying for grant funding.

The workshop is being hosted by YMCA Norfolk chief executive officer John Drake who said: “So much of God’s work could receive funding if applications were more appropriately written and better presented.

“This is your opportunity to learn from the trustee’s point of view, what would make them more inclined to support your application and how you can develop relationship with potential funders. Join us so that we can share and learn together how we can best use the resources and opportunities placed before us.”

Bridget is part of the Jerusalem Trust, one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts, and has extensive experience in understanding the mechanics of a successful funding bid. She will be sharing what her trustees look for in an application and will be part of a panel able to answer your specific funding questions.

There will be two identical seminars, one at 2.30pm and one at 6.30pm, each lasting approximately 90 minutes, to be held in The Ambassadors Lounge, City stand at Norwich City Football Club, Carrow Road, Norwich, NR1 1JE, wheelchair access and parking are available.
